Antimicrobials have an important role in the health world for treating infectious diseases. Source antimicrobial can be derived from plants, microbes, marine organisms. One is that many africa leaves empirically used by the public. From the results of this study africa leaf extract contains flavonoids, saponins, tannins, alkaloids, and steroids. Has a total ash content of 5.82 ± 0.75%, the acid insoluble ash content of 1.21 ± 0.21% and a water content of 3.75 ± 1.18%. Then the 70% ethanol extract of the leaves of this African tested the antibacterial activity using S. aureus and E. coli showed the extract

has activity against E. coli and S. aureus. At a concentration of 100, 75, 50, 25 ppm with a diameter of resistor 0.00; 20.35; 7.00; 0,00 mm for E. Coli, while at the same concentration against S. Aureus has inhibitory activity with a diameter of 0.00; 18.70; 7.00; 0.00 mm.
